Cover letter secret #3 Unified look - Sterling Career Concepts

Cover letter secret #3 Unified look Cover letter secret #3: Unified look My third and final suggestion is a very easy way to add a professional edge to all your career documents. Take your résumé and do a ‘save as’ of the document. Delete the body of your résumé, but leave your header up top (name, address, phone, email, etc.) to create a letterhead. (A bonus tip: Header designs that include a single or double line create an especially sharp letterhead.) Use this Word document to write your letter in the same font style and size as that of your résumé content. The end result is an organized, unified look when corresponding with hiring managers or recruiters. This template can (and should) be used for any career documentâ€"cover letters, thank you letters, networking letters, and requests for informational interviews, to name a few. I told you it was easy! Now that you’re “in the know,” remember to use this professional trick the next time you send out a cover letter.
